Get ready, ALX! The best day of the year in the East Village is almost here. On Thursday, March 26, baseball officially returns to our backyard as the San Diego Padres take on the Detroit Tigers for the 2026 Home Opener. Living at ALX, you have a front-row seat to the electric energy that takes over the neighborhood—from the pre-game pageantry and military flyovers to the roar of the sell-out crowd at Petco Park. First pitch is scheduled for 1:10 PM, but the festivities start much earlier with the "Opening Series" scarf giveaway for the first 40,000 fans. Whether you're heading into the stadium or catching the vibe from your balcony, there’s no better place to be than right here in the heart of the action!

Say hello to our March superstar, Saint! This handsome German Shepherd is a true ALX local who takes his job as neighborhood watch very seriously—you can usually find him relaxing on his balcony, keeping a watchful eye on the East Village streets below. When he’s not on "duty," Saint is busy enjoying his favorite toys and bones or showing off his perfectly polished manners. He’s a friendly, gentle soul who brings a massive dose of joy to our halls. If you spot this good boy in the elevator or out on a neighborhood stroll, don’t be shy—give him some paw!
